Another conversion to non-OEM inks

Brian Barrett Signs and Joinery has converted its Roland DG Soljet printers over to Sun Chemicals Streamline range of inks as the list of companies switching over to non-OEM supplies continues to increase in Ireland.

The Belfast company is one of Northern Ireland's leading specialist firms in the manufacture and erection of estate agents' 'For Sale' signs. It is also a mayor supplier of shop front signage, internal signs, building and vehicle wraps, window graphics, banners and flags etc.

Managing director Brian Barrett said: "A while ago the Reprocentre offered me the opportunity to reduce significantly my ink costs by changing over to a non-OEM range called Streamline from Sun Chemicals. Like so many other sign companies today raw material costs and professional backup service are key elements for any company so the offer from the Reprocentre was just too competitive to ignore. This is critical to me going forward because the company has also developed other business sectors such as display, shop fittings, that sort of thing which provide a cushion during this downturn and ensure that we don't have all our eggs in one basket."
