Inspirational Arts participates in Ireland's first International Festival of Photography and Visual Culture

Inspirational Arts, which specialises in providing a personalised fine art digital printing and framing services to artists and photographers, was one of the sponsors of Ireland's first Festival of Photography and Visual Culture, PhotoIreland 2010.The event, held 1 - 11 July in Dublin, showcased over 250 Irish and international photographers' work spread over 40 exhibitions at more than 30 venues.

Based in Herbert Street, Dublin 2, Inspirational Arts is only one of two companies in Ireland dedicated to the niche photographic arts market. Run by Ed Dunne, a keen amateur photographer, and Jim Butler, a professional photographic printer with over 20 years experience in darkroom and digital printing, it was asked by the festival to sponsor a group of Austrian photographers' work which the company had printed.
Dunne said: "Dublin has had photo exhibitions in the past but it never hosted a multi location festival such as those held in Paris and London. Inspirational Arts printed for two of the Festival exhibitions as well as many individual works on a range of fine art papers using two large-format printers, a 44in Epson Stylus Pro 9900 and an older Stylus Pro 9800. Most of the prints were produced on Hahnem?hle Fine Art Papers because it allows us to produce extremely high quality fine art prints using pigmented inks. All the photographers who attended and exhibited at the festival were not commercial as such, they were art photographers."
Inspirational Arts' main clients in Ireland include most of the main art colleges as well as individuals such as renowned painter and sculptor Graham Knuttez, whose work has been collected by various celebrities. The company also provides other personalised specialist services apart from large-format printing including digital mastering for reproduction of original artwork, film scanning, mounting and framing.
