Nazdar UV inks approved for use with Xaar 760 greyscale printheads

Nazdar 8000 series UV piezo inkjet inks have been approved by Xaar for use with its 760 greyscale printheads.

The Nazdar 8000 series has been developed as an OEM ink for industrial and graphics applications. It has been formulated for rigid and flexible applications and produces long-term and consistent colour density results on multiple substrates, including reinforced and pressure-sensitive vinyl, styrene, PVC, polycarbonate, foam board and fluted polypropylene.
The ink is already sold commercially as the Teckwin 8000 series ink for the Teckwin TeckStorm flatbed digital printer. This is manufactured by Shanghai-based Teckwin Development and distributed by Nazdar SourceOne in the US, Mexico, Central America and Canada.

"We developed the Nazdar 8000 digital UV ink specifically for use with the versatile Xaar 760," explains Rich Nickols, UV digital product manager for Nazdar. "This printhead jets variable drops with extreme accuracy and, combined with the 8000 series ink, produces high-resolution results at industrial level speeds. It is increasingly popular with manufacturers of both wide-format and single-pass narrow web printers resulting in a growing demand for an ink that maximises its performance."

Xaar’s ink product manager Jill Woods added: "Nazdar is investing heavily in developing the highest quality inks for the inkjet market. The development of an ink designed to deliver the very best performance in conjunction with the Xaar 760 shows the company's focus on quality."

Mimaki JV33 profiles for KPMF digital print films
Print profiles for five of Kay Premium Marking Films products for use on the Mimaki JV33 wide-format inkjet printer can be downloaded from its revamped website at www.kpmf.com.

Technical support specialists Optimise Print profiled the substrates, which include KPMF's vehicle-wrapping films: VWS1 - the 100-micron K88011, and the 50-micron matt cast vinyl K75211 (VWS2), which was selected by Honda for the livery on their F1 cars last season and again for 2008/09.

Three multi-purpose, 75-micron, white calendered vinyls were also profiled by Optimise. K42011 is a monomeric glossy film with a three-year life; K52011 and K5301, respectively gloss and matt polymerics, are ideal for a five-year application.
