Anders Nilsson

FESPA has paid tribute to former president Anders Nilsson following his death.

Mr Nilsson served as FESPA president between 2007 and 2010, overseeing a period of growth that saw the organisation expand its association network internationally while continuing to embrace emerging digital print technologies.

He was also the owner and CEO of Gamleby Screen AB, a Swedish large-format printing business. His practical industry experience helped inform his leadership of FESPA during a transformative period for wide-format printing.

Following his presidency, Mr Nilsson continued to support the organisation as Asia ambassador, helping to strengthen relationships with associations and partners across the region.

In a statement, FESPA President Daniel Sunderland said: “Anders was a dear friend loved by everyone, who made a lasting contribution to FESPA in what was an exciting and transformative period for our organisation.

“His ability to connect with people across various regions helped to form the FESPA that we know today. Anders will be greatly missed by those who had the privilege of knowing him and working with him.”

Mr Nilsson remained involved with FESPA Sweden for more than three decades and was named Honorary Chair in 2023. He is remembered throughout the industry for his leadership, warmth and ability to bring people together.
