EFI Vutek GS3200 and GS5000r speed up superwide printing

Out of the EFI Vutek stables comes the GS3200, a 3.2m hybrid UV printer with speeds of up to 222.9m2/hr, and the GS5000r, a 5m roll-to-roll printer that runs up to 228m2/hr.

The GS3200 uses Vutek's Dual-Resolution Capability for true 600dpi and true 1000dpi output with selectable 24pl or 12pl drop sizes. The GS3200 is therefore seen as ideal for fine art replication, detailed photography and high-definition POP displays, as well as traditional 3.2m banner and signage applications. The printer operates in eight-color (plus white) mode at speeds up to 111.5m/hr. In its four-color plus white, Fast-5 mode, it can reach 222.9m2/hr.

The 5m GS5000r, offering 1000dpi, eight-color printing, can produce backlit and display graphics with image detail and crisp four-point text in addition to applications such as billboards and building wraps that you would expect from a 5m printer. In eight-color mode it can reach speeds of 148.6m2/hr and 288m2/hr in Fast-4 mode.

The GS5000r has been specifically designed for mid- to high-volume print service providers and commercial printers wanting to grow their businesses and differentiate themselves from the competition by extending their range of applications and capabilities. It is optimised to use Vutek UV inks that adhere to a wide range of flexible substrates, including Tyvek, polybanner and textiles.
