GPT targets poster printers with KIP Colour 80

At Sign and Digital UK Graphic Print Technologies (GPT) will be showing the new 36in-wide KIP Colour 80, a toner based, 600 dpi, CMYK roll-fed large-format printer device aimed at the high volume display poster and POS graphics market. The unit prints at up to 200m2/hr at a cost of about 80p square metre.

 
Stuart Cole, managing director, GPT, said: "The KIP Color 80 is designed to produce posters fast. It can print to a good quality onto uncoated substrates and delivers lightfast, scratch resilient output at blistering speeds. We are very confident it will prove attractive to the real high volume graphics producers."

The dry toner UV stable heat and water resistant image can be printed onto media suitable for indoor and outdoor applications and if necessary, laminated or mounted. The printer works with the new 6.6 Shiraz Rip.

The KIP Color 80 has a list price ?99,950 but GPT is offering a special price for orders taken at Sign UK of ?85,700 to include delivery installation and training.
