KAMA announces new specialist finishing machines (03.04.08)

KAMA GmbH will be presenting new specialist finishing techniques for premium print products at Drupa 2008. The company will debut, in Hall 3, Stand D31, a newly developed offline solution for print processing and finishing designed for the digital print market. It will also demonstrate an expanded product portfolio with sophisticated machines for die-cutting, folding and gluing.

Celebrating its premiere will be the newly developed KAMA ProFold 74 for folding and gluing. Jobbing printers, book binders and processing businesses should visit the KAMA stand to see how quickly and simply this finishing folder can deal with intricate cross folders, ticket pockets, mailing envelopes, CD cases and capacity folders.

The unique tool mounting grid used in the ProFold 74, a system that is being patented, enables tools to be rapidly positioned in any desired order. This guarantees short set-up times and quick changeovers from one job to the next.

A key machine on exhibition at Drupa 2008 will be the KAMA ProCut 74 with its new suction feed board and electronic cutting force adjustment. This innovative “hybrid” die cutter is equally suited for die cutting, creasing, perforating, kiss-cutting and cold embossing as well as hot foil stamping, combined cold embossing and hot foil stamping, hologram stamping and hot cutting – all modules achieving the highest standards of quality. With its short set-up times, the multi-talented ProCut 74 can change from one function to another several times a day, making the processing and finishing of even small runs profitable. As a further new option, the changing system ensures fast and efficient job changes when carrying out hot foil stamping.
