Prepare for your Drupa 2008 visit today
Have you ever left a trade fair and resolved to prepare better for it the next time you attend? This should allow you to work more efficiently and benefit fully from the enormous potential you can gain from information and the opportunities to make key contacts.
If you are planning on visiting Drupa 2008 you need to start thinking about it early, since the most important information on all aspects of the “world market print media, publishing & converting” is starting to come through.
Are you interested, for example, in knowing which exhibitors or topics can be found in each of the halls? The answers are accessible on the Drupa website, www.drupa.com, where you’ll find the exhibitor list and the complete hall plans.
“Together with the 24 members of the drupa committee, we subdivided the show – as far as is possible, considering how closely interwoven the individual production steps are – into the five major theme areas. These are: prepress and pre-media, printing, finishing/bookbinding, package production/paper converting and services/materials,” says Drupa project director Manuel Mataré. The aim is to make things as transparent as possible for visitors at the show and to minimise the distances they have to cover.
“Make sure you allow enough time to explore the most comprehensive ancillary programme of all time,” advises Bernd Zipper of Essen-based consultancy, Zipcon Consulting, which is currently designing various special and edutainment events on behalf of Messe Düsseldorf. “The special presentations will provide visitors with initial pointers on the latest innovations and developments for the print and media industry on show at Drupa,” promises Zipper.
Messe Düsseldorf is constantly updating the overview of the events schedule.
Here on Image Reports’ Digital Drupa site there will be regular updates of news and issues focused on aspects of digital printing and related topics.
The Drupa website has a newsticker, featuring exhibitor news such as new product announcements or company presentations. As Drupa draws closer, the news service will become more detailed. Also, consider subscribing to the electronic Drupa newsletter so that you automatically receive important Drupa 2008 news, geared to your personal areas of interest.
And don’t forget to order your admission tickets and catalogue early. They will be available from March 2008 in the Drupa Online Shop.
