Held at the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square

McNaughton was recognised not only for its commitment

Tony Porter Group, marketing director, said: “McNaughton's
are delighted to have been recognised by this award
for all of the initiatives undertaken as part of
our sustainable solutions programme.” He added “In

FSC certification for Mitsubishi papers

DSPA seminars Delegates at the Digital & Screen Printing Association’s
seminars in Oxford were offered topics information
on how to go green and get profitable.
Regulatory consultant and environmental print expert
Paul Machin presented tips on developing a workable
environmental policy that is linked to profitability.
He provided delegates with a sharp reminder about how
end customers are now becoming more aware of their
suppliers’ carbon footprint, with confirmation
of a growing divide now taking place as fewer solvents
are being used for interior applications.
He also discussed the growing demand for recycled
and recyclable materials and how screen printers and
digital bureaux must keep their ‘green’ customers
happy. Finally, he tackled the issue of waste and the
problems incurred, particularly when large sized short-term
jobs end up in land-fill sites.
