Roland extends metallic ink printer range

 
On the back of its VersaCamm VS-640 metallic and white ink capable print-and-cut inkjet machine launched in February Roland DG (UK) has now added three smaller versions. The company has also introduced the VersaUV LEC-540, a 1.37m version of its VersaUV LEC-330 roll- and sheet-fed UV-curable print-and-cut solution.| Read more

 

Cestrian takes UK’s first HP TJ8550

 
Cestrian Imaging has bought the UK’s first HP TJ8550 UV large-format printer to provide VDP for point-of-sale work. Directors Phill Reynolds and Paul Whitehurst and were won over by the supplier’s claim that the new machine, printing at speeds of up to 480 m²/hr, will help consolidate its position as one of the UK’s leading retail specialists. They are convinced that the machine’s use of high-intensity inks to produce vibrant high resolution collateral with selective gloss areas, coupled with its ability to print on a wide range of environmentally friendly substrates (including PP and PE), will tick all the boxes for retailers and provide a competitive edge.| Read more

Roland DG's newest and most popular inkjet printers are now supported by EFI colour management/production software including Print Pack 2 for EFI Colorproof XF and Fiery XF 4.1 Rip.  Roland printers now supported include VersaUV UV-LED printer/cutters, Soljet Pro III XJ and XC, the VersaCamm VP-i and SP-i series, and the VersaArt RS four-colour printers offered as eco-solvent models.| Read more
