Fujifilm to showcase creative media applications at Viscom Paris
Visitors to Fujifilm’s stand at Viscom Paris will be able to get hands-on with various media from the Euromedia range via a 'test-drive' wall that will feature samples of indoor and outdoor surfaces commonly used for posters and signage, including brick, plaster, plastic, glass and a car door.
BAPC announces special guest speaker for 2010 conference
A key speaker at the 2010 BAPC conference will be Geoff Burch, often described as the alternative business guru. Burch is a regular contributor and presenter on TV and radio and was also the star of the hit BBC business show All Over the Shop which focussed on helping small businesses survive and thrive.
Screen aims to hit customer sweet spots at Fespa 2010
Screen will showcase new imaging capabilities of two of its large-format hybrid inkjet printers - the 2.5m-wide Truepress Jet2500UV and the 1.6m-wide Truepress Jet1600UV-F - at Fespa 2010. Visitors will see the Truepress Jet2500UV producing images on roll-fed and flatbed format material at up to 1,500dpi using its high resolution greyscale printhead with new multi-layer function. The ability to print multiple layers has been improved from two to five; this enables the production of sophisticated graphics such as images that can be viewed from both sides on transparent material. Without feeding the media a second time, the Truepress Jet2500UV will print the image layer, then white, then black, then white again before the final image layer.
IGS release further detail on Elements printers, inks and materials
IGS UK has begun to drip feed details of the Elements family of green wide-format printers it will debut at Fespa 2010. These new printers have been designed to incorporate water-based, yet durable, eco-friendly ink formulations with the added benefit of an environmentally aware range of FSC certified materials and specially configured Rip. During 2010, IGS UK plans to introduce five members of the Elements family, which comprises four dedicated roll-fed machines and one flatbed printer, all of which carry the same environmental credentials.
Naga Munchetty, best known for moderating the BBC's Working Lunch programme alongside Declan Curry, will be host the BAPC's annual conference over the weekend of 5 November in Waltham Abbey, Herts.
