Grapo Technologies bought out and renamed SigmaJet

A group of private investors has bought Grapho Technologies and renamed it SigmaJet.

Branislav Oravec, previously sales and marketing director of Grapo Technologies, has been appointed CEO of SigmaJet, headquartered in Olomouc, Czech Republic.  A new demonstration facility is also now planned to open early 2012 in Bratislava, Slovakia.

Alongside Oravec, the company and its new investment group owner said it has put in place a strong international management team with considerable experience in sales, marketing, manufacturing and customer service. To strengthen its position in the European wide-format print market the group said it will make significant investments in areas of manufacturing, R&D, training and customer support for its UV/hybrid wide-format inkjet printers which will continue to be manufactured in Europe and distributed worldwide through a network of value-added channel partners.

“We are very excited about the new opportunities that this partnership is presenting to us, it marks the start of a new and exciting chapter,” said Oravec. “The wide-format print markets are experiencing phenomenal growth, and thanks to the support of our new investment team we will be able to increase our reach and value-offering. Our strategy is to continue to provide our customers with high-quality, high-performance wide-format solutions that address the constantly-evolving demands of the inkjet printing market.”
