UK-based Quantum-UV Technologies has launched an anti-bacterial printing service using new inks technology developed by the company and a Jetrix 2030FRK UV flatbed printer.
Hygienilac is one of the best-known anti-bacterial brands and found in a number of applications including furniture, plastics, high street detergents and textiles. Now, following a rigorous process of development and testing, Quantum has perfected a product that provides anti-bacterial properties without compromise to the print quality.
Quantum feels that this service will be of particular interest to the medical/health, food, defence and education sectors and has have already received orders for these products from a number of major UK supermarkets. Quantum is now in the process of developing a number of products for both the domestic and international markets utilising the capability of the Jetrix machine and new ink developments.
Eddie Tucker, Quantum’s founder and managing director, said: “This is the culmination of many years work and I am absolutely delighted with the huge interest already shown in these new products and services. We conducted months of testing with the help of specialist grand-format reseller Digital Print Innovations in Derby, which provided us with outstanding service, support and has been very patient with our demands. Now with the acquisition of the formidable Jetrix 2030FRK, I feel we can provide a printed product which is second to none in terms of image quality and value. However, when this is coupled to the new ink formulations containing Hygienilac I really think we have something very special”.
