Hybrid offers ‘virtual visits’

Mimaki distributor Hybrid Services is introducing TeamViewer remote support software, designed to offer spontaneous customer support.

The system is designed to deliver quick diagnosis and resolution of problems by allowing remote access to a customers’ computer where a member of the technical team can do everything as if they were sat in front of the end users system.

In addition to the technical team being able to access remote computers, Hybrid’s setup allows for a two way dialogue, where files can be shared by Hybrid and accessed by the customer for testing or evaluation purposes, and with the additional feature of remote screen capture, Hybrid can analyse more complex tasks offline.

Offered free as part of Hybrid’s Technical Services function – available to in-warranty Mimaki users and those with Customer Care packages – the TeamViewer application is downloaded from Hybrid’s website in conjunction with instruction from a technician.

Hollywood help raise cash for Harry
Over £100,000 has been raised for charity Help Harry Help Others at a ball organised by Hollywood Monster MD Tim Andrews and former Big Brother contestant and Birmingham corporate lawyer Peter (PJ) Ellis.

The event, at Birmingham’s ICC, was attended by 1,250 guests in memory Birmingham schoolboy Harry Moseley. Despite battling an inoperable brain tumour, before his death last year Harry raised more than £700,000 for cancer charities by selling hand-made bracelets and touring schools and businesses up and down the country. The ball helped support the ongoing work of the charity set up in his name.
