Alwan Color Expertise has made its DeviceLink technology available to Harlequin Rip users via Compose Systems' LinkProfiler plugin. This enables Harlequin Rip users to seamlessly apply colour management, TAC reduction, and make ink savings on the Rip without any add-on to the production workflow.

Now, thanks to the joint efforts of Alwan, Compose and Global Graphics, we have succeeded to integrate Alwan DeviceLink Profile technology in the Harlequin Rip, enabling thousands of additional users to benefit from Alwan's colour management and standardisation technology using a Harlequin based Rip.
Alwan LinkProfiler plugin allows Harlequin Rip users to use the colour management framework provided by their Rips to create and apply Alwan DeviceLink profiles as part of the Ripping process. Alwan DeviceLinks will colour manage Ripped files and/or limit their ink coverage (TAC) and/or optimise their black generation automatically and without any manual intervention.
The Alwan LinkProfiler plugin is available in three versions - Prepress, Press and Eco - with prices starting at 1,800 Euro.
