Proskills MD calls for financial support of PrintIt!

Proskills’ managing director Jonathan Ledger is calling for the industry’s financial support of the PrintIt! education programme it manages. He has reiterated that Proskills hasn’t had Government funding since 2012 and so PrintIt! is wholly dependent on the generosity of employers and individuals from the print, paper and related industries, without whom it cannot survive.

An emailer has gone out to remind would-be donors that as a registered charity (no: 1155635) any funding given to PrintIt! via Proskills UK is tax deductible. And that individuals can enhance donations with Gift Aid. Donations can be made via https://www.paypal-donations.co.uk/pp-charity/charity.jsp?NP_ID=71463 or https://www.givey.com/printit2014, by cheque or by emailing a purchase order number to amy.moran@proskills.co.uk who will raise an invoice.

“We have big ambitions for the 2015/16 programme and your money will go a long way into helping more young people not only into print and paper, but apprenticeships and careers.?So please, dig deep and help us achieve more!??We very much appreciate all your donations, whether in-kind or cash. It all helps Proskills inspire the next generation into print and paper,” said Ledger.

Meanwhile Balreed has presented a cheque for £1,000 to PrintIt! thanks to a ‘Pace or Pay Challenge’ whereby staff could bid for colleagues to run up to three miles on a treadmill. “We are so very proud to have Balreed as PrintIt! partners and we thank them for their sterling efforts in raising this fabulous donation. We hope that Balreed’s drive to support young people into print will inspire other print companies to share in the PrintIt! ambition,” added Ledger.
