Case Study from Repropoint

Hardy Signs has added a new HP 370 latex printer to strengthen its print line up to be the best.

Burton-on-Trent based Hardy Signs Limited was established by Nik Hardy in 1993 and has since grown into one of the most recognised and preferred signage & print suppliers in the United Kingdom. Hardy Signs has offices in London and Manchester.

Part of the company’s vision is to invest and make business processes efficient, which in turn enables us to serve our customers efficiently and cost effectively.
To further the investment Hardy Signs has upgraded the software on HP 360 to match the performance of HP 370. HP 370 comes with an essential features like bulk ink system. Bulk ink system will enable and recycle ink cartridges, cutting down on ink wastage, making the entire printing process very lean and green. Furthermore, water-based Latex Ink prints are odourless which is ideal for the healthcare industry.

The new printer was sold and installed by Woking based Repropoint. The installation was quick and the printer started printing pretty much straight after plugging in. It’s the little extras that make the difference when it comes to suppliers, Repropoint provided onsite training and offer continued technical support should we need it. We felt Repropoint really understood our business.

The new Latex printer will print on a vast array of materials much faster and with quicker drying times. The quick drying times will enable us to have very efficient lead times, saving time and money for our customers.

One of the biggest advantages of the latex printer is that it uses non-toxic inks, giving a truly green printing output. With the non-toxic or non-solvent inks, printing on this printer supports our customers to strengthen their sustainability commitment.
Nik Hardy, MD of Hardy Signs adds, “I constantly get feedback from our customers to have a greener print output and with our latex printer we support the green commitments of our customers, especially the corporate customers.”

“I am really pleased with the latex printer’s speed and quality. With odourless inks, no extra ventilation is required in the workshop. It complements the UV Flat Bed (Arizona) printer in the
workshop, leaving the Arizona to do what it does best which is printing direct to substrate”, comments Alan Gunter, Hardy Signs Workshop Manager.

Additionally, Hardy Digital is a dedicated department of Hardy Signs sells digital display solutions to a wide range of trade and industries. The Hardy Digital approach offers the complete solution from project management, installation and maintenance through to content creation and system management.
