Leach brings University of Oxford story to life

Yorkshire-based Leach has completed an 11m-long display commissioned to tell the 675-year-old story of The Queen’s College, a constituent of the University of Oxford. The company handled the design, production and installation of the 11 x 2.5m lightbox-based graphic.

12 - 675 Timeline in productionIt was Leach’s own anniversary that attracted project lead Anna Thorne, the college’s director of development. “As I was making plans for our celebratory event, I saw that Leach was also celebrating a milestone this year - it’s 125th birthday. Add to that the fact that managing director Richard Leach is an Old Member of the college and there seemed no better company to bring our 675-year-old tale to life.”

Leach took the project from concept to installation in just one week. The system was assembled by a two-man Leach installation team in 90 minutes, in readiness for 800 guests to a college gala. The timeline has since welcomed freshers and students at the start of the new academic year.
