Brook International snatches Tour De France marketing opportunity

To help celebrate the Tour De France 2014 as it cycled passed Brook International’s door in Yorkshire on its first two stages, the soft signage/banner fabric supplier provided material to create various land art images on surrounding countryside.

Brook Knitted Flag 115g and Brook Woven Flag 155g was used for the ‘Fields of Visions’ project that brought together commissioned artists, 100’s of local people and school children to create patchwork images in fields and that were to be seen by approximately 3.2bn TV viewers from all over the world.

Local artists and farmers worked together to create the land art by standing in the countryside and, with the use walkie-talkies, give instructions as to where fabric was moved by hand and pinned into the grass in the fields to create the images. TV coverage such as the BBC’s Countryfile covered the project.
