Martyn Young, MD of First 2 Print t/a Precision Printing North, has been killed in an accident at the Sunderland facility. He died on Friday 17 February in an incident involving a forklift truck. No other members of staff were involved.
A statement from the company said Young, 37, died as result of his injuries despite the rapid actions of colleagues and the emergency services. The Police and HSE have been informed and investigations are on-going.
“Our immediate focus is to provide what support we can to his family, friends and colleagues
and to look after the welfare of the team at the Sunderland facility,” said Precision Printing CEO Gary Peeling. “Martyn’s death has been a shock to all who knew him and I’m sure you will understand that this is an extremely difficult and upsetting time for his family, friends and colleagues for whom a time of reflection is needed.
“All correspondence received will be addressed and replied to as soon as possible. Your patience, understanding and condolences are appreciated at this sad time.”
