Wide-format print solutions specialist CMYUK has announced another new appointment – with Martin Cole joining as field service engineer. He held technical roles for over seven years prior to joining the company and has working knowledge of Roland, Epson, Canon, Agfa and HP as well as profiling, Rip and cutting software packages.

Screen Graphic and Precision Solutions (Screen GP) is completely revamping its management system for after-sales service, at the heart of which is the Trust Service Desk, a contact centre that uses the ‘Internet of Things’ (IoT) and Cloud-based technologies more effectively prevent problems before they occur. Screen GP has already launched the service in North America and plans to sequentially expand the regions in which the system is available, starting with Europe followed by Australia and Asia, and then Japan.

Gardners, the multi-format digital printer, now holds the exclusive license for UK and ROI for the use and application of all Agripa licensed products for retail and fleet media.

Mutoh Belgium - Mutoh’s EMEA distribution centre for Mutoh wide-format printer equipment - has been appointed an EMEA distributor for a number of Summa vinyl cutters. These include the SummaCut series and the S-Class 2 160T.

Xaar and Ricoh have formed a strategic partnership to maximise the benefits from each other’s expertise in thin film piezo printhead development. Xaar has also announced a collaboration with Global Inkjet Systems (GIS) to deliver and sell drive electronics and ink supply systems optimised for the Xaar 5601 family of printheads, launching at Drupa.

Fastsigns International - franchisor of Fastsigns - has opened its first co-branded centre in the UK. “The opening of Fastsigns Oxford North, our first UK co-brand centre, helps us lay the foundation to take the successful North American co-brand concept to international markets,” said Mark Jameson, EVP of Franchise Support and Development.

Soyang Europe has taken on self-adhesive specialist Kerrie-Anne Moore to drive forward its new range of self-adhesive vinyls and wallcoverings from Decal.

Stylo Graphics has bought a Massivit 1800 3D printer. The Watford-based company placed the order via Papergraphics at the start of Drupa where the manufacturer was showing the machine publicly for the first time. The Massivit 1800 can produce pieces up to 1.8m high. Speed is up to 1,000mm/sec in x and y-axis, and up to 35cm of object growth per hour (z-axis).

Imagine!, a North American provider of large-scale POS displays and instore signage, will be a beta site for the Landa S10 Nanographic Printing Press, Landa’s single-sided B1 (41in/1,050mm) machine. It will be installed at Imagine!’s facility in Minneapolis, where it will be predominantly used for POP/POS display work and to create versioned print.

Italian-based W2P specialist Pixartprinting has brought eight new printable natural fabrics to market, and is offering a print customisation service with a minimum run length of just 1m.
