Alan Rigglesford, former MD of defunct Clicks and made MD of London-based Kingswood iOptus last week, expects to take the latter’s turnover from £5m to £7.5m in the next 12 months. He expects at least £2m of that higher figure to come from Kingswood Display, the large-format arm formed last summer and operating in Swanley, Kent.

Suffolk-based Stylize Display Graphics has installed an Anapurna H3200i LED printer with a dual roll-to-roll option and flatbed capability to replace its Agfa Anapurna M2500i. It is the first Anapurna H3200i LED to be installed in the UK.

The moving printhead carriage of a swissQprint UV printer immediately halts should it come into contact with a person or object thanks to new software. The system also stops instantly if there is a danger of the printhead grazing the substrate, typically where there are undulations or raised edges. Printing is resumed at exactly the same point where the printhead carriage came to rest.

The latest Shop and Display Equipment Association (SDEA) survey reveals an encouraging 64% of respondents reported an increase in sales over the past six months, and of those the average was of a 17% rise.  Less than half this number, 28%, recorded an average decline in sales of 19% and only 8% of members’ sales remained unchanged.
