Nth Degree will show the new Signracer 2500 H-LED hybrid flatbed printer at Sign and Digital UK in April. The printer has five printheads (to provide a resolution of 1200dpi), two media tables and can handle thicknesses up to 50mm. The maximum production speed is 44m2/hr.  

Following its move into the large-format digital arena with the acquisition of Digital XL Services in 2014, Northumberland-based litho specialist Potts Print has supported the diversification by installing the UK’s first Fujifilm Acuity F flatbed inkjet printer. It has also taken an Acuity LED 1600 II.

The sponsors of the 2016 Print Futures Awards are inviting applications for cash grants of up to £1,500 each to help pay for any costs associated with relevant training courses for a career in printing, publishing, packaging or graphic arts.

Hybrid has created a Mimaki Vehicle Wrap Lab at Oxford Brookes University. The intention is to provide hands-on experience, tuition and a commercial understanding of vehicle wrapping, branding and liveries to undergraduate engineers set for roles in Formula 1 racing.

Drupa has confirmed that its primary partner for Drupa cube content development and delivery is The Medici Group, who’s founder and CEO Frans Johansson created something of a   furor with his 2004 book ‘The Medici Effect’, and has since built a reputation for being an expert on “thinking outside the box”. He will deliver the keynote on 31 May.
