Uvistar roll-to-roll superwide printer from Fujifilm
Fujifilm has unveiled its Uvistar series of UV inkjet roll-to-roll printers to the European market. These new printers, which use Fujifilm Sericol's specially developed Uvijet QK inks and can print on rolls up to 5m wide, have been developed to meet the demands of the changing billboard sector.
The new Vutek QS220, a 2m-wide, direct-to-substrate, UV-curing flatbed printer with high-definition print (HDP) quality and superwide productivity, boasts lower ink running costs than traditional wide-format printers according to EFI.
JV5-320DS direct and dye sub production printer joins Mimaki line-up
Expect to see the first units of Mimaki's new 3.2m-wide direct to textile JV5-320DS printer by early February. The machine, based on the existing JV5-320S solvent printer, enables high speed, direct printing onto polyester substrates and provides a water-based dye-sublimation option.
