J&G invests in printed plastics recycling kit

J&G Environmental has bought two new pieces of kit to recycle plastics from print.

The investment includes an Avery Weigh-Tronix ZM510 weighbridge for logging weights of different materials, and a Rapid 8045 granulator for preparing waste plastic ready to be made into new products. “A printer has a duty of care to know what is happening with their waste. We are able to offer full traceability to show what is happening with it, ensuring it does not end up in the ocean,” said recycling manager Jason Goddard. “Most of our customers go for our service as they know it is going to be recycled, rather than going to landfill. Even for existing customers, there may be other new innovative waste management streams that we can offer. With new customers, we can provide waste management and recycling advice and support - not just in relation to plastics - as part of our comprehensive service.”
