Mutoh EMEA celebrates anniversaries with two product premieres

Mutoh premiered two machines at Fespa Global this year, marking the 70th anniversary of Mutoh Japan, the 50th for Mutoh Deutschlandand 30th for Mutoh Europe.

The show provided the EMEA premiere of the XpertJet 1682SR Pro, which has two AccuFine 3200 nozzle printheads making it up to 180% faster than the existing XpertJet 1682SR 8-colour printer model.

In line with the XpertJet 1341SR Pro and 1641SR Pro models released in Q1 of 2022, the new XPJ-1682SR Pro features I-Screen weaving, Mutoh’s fourth generation intelligent interweaving technology adapted to a staggered twin-head printer and Mutoh’s VerteLith Rip software.

The latest machine can be set up in 2xCMYK as well as in CMYK, Lc, Lm, Lk, Or, and it is compatible with Mutoh’s existing MS41 Greenguard Gold certified inks. It also runs with a new Mutoh MS51 quick-dry CMYK ink set called MS-51.

Fespa Global visitors could also witness the EMEA premiere of the 127cm (54in) wide XpertJet 1341WR Pro dye-sublimation printer compatible with Mutoh’s DS3-series HC dye-sub inks. HC stands for ‘increased colourant’ for reduced ink consumption, faster drying and compatibility with lightweight papers. The DS-3 inks come in degassed 1kg pouches.  The XPJ-1341WR Pro is said to run at sellable production speeds up to 29.2m²/h
