Dusseldorf gears up for Drupa

For the fourth time in a row Drupa organisers are working with more that 100 partners to make Dusseldorf  Drupacity.

"In May, Düsseldorf will become a temporary home, for the around 1,850 exhibitors, the 30,000 strong stand personnel, the roughly 350,000 visitors and the 3,000 journalists expected to come from all over the world“, said Manuel Mataré, director of Drupa. "We want to welcome them with this varied programme and also bring the topics of print and media a bit closer to the people of Düsseldorf.“

Four shopping malls, 44 retail shops and 48 eateries as well as the premium drupartners Duessel Aqua, Museum Kunstpalast, Frankenheim, Schlösser and Schumacher, Zum Schlüssel, Uerige und Füchschen breweries, Taxi Düsseldorf eG, Düsseldorf Marketing and Tourism, the airport and Lufthansa are involved with drupacity 2012.

Many shops will give small presents with purchases and/or offer price reductions, while others will be offering free delivery on purchases above a certain value. On Sunday 6 May practically all drupartner shops will be open.

The paper drupaperboat will be anchored in the Kö-Graben from 30 April and exhibitions on the Kö(nigsallee) will also show other extraordinary things made of paper.

A special drupacity guide lists all the events and the integrated city map will help you find your way around. It will be available at all trade fair information points and on the trade fair grounds themselves.
