Signarama UK master licence acquired by family duo

The UK master licence of the Signarama franchise has been acquired by Aliyyah-Begum Nasser and Salim Giga. The daughter/father team hope to extend the network (which in total has more than 900 centres in over 50 countries) here in the UK.

Nasser, who is UK director, said: “It’s natural for existing sign centre owners to say ‘Why should I want to pay to co-brand - I already know how to run a sign centre?’ but when it comes to partnering with Signarama there’s a lot more on offer than just our world-leading brand name and economies of scale. Our knowledge and expertise is entirely relevant to the signage industry - we are not generalists.

“My experience as a change management consultant with top firms enables me to help businesses turnaround and expand, whilst my father [Giga] has over 35 years in print and imaging making him very well qualified to advise on emerging industry trends and technological developments.”

All Signarama’s UK sites have large-format roll-to-roll printers, and two have UV flatbeds. Franchise support manager Adrian Strong said large-format continues to be a focus for the chain.
