Beflex first in Europe to install EFI Vutek h3 printer

Budapest-based Beflex is to be the first company in Europe to install an EFI Vutek h3 hybrid flatbed/roll superwide-format printer.
"We are constantly on the lookout for opportunities that allow us to provide our customers with the best products," said Beflex CEO Laszlo Baran, "We are not interested in increasing volume unless we can provide brilliant quality, while maintaining constant production levels."   Beflex ordered its new machine at Fespa this year, where the h series made its global debut. The h3 hybrid LED inkjet printer has an image resolution of up to 1,200dpi, eight- or optional four-colour modes plus white, and up to five-layer print capability in a single pass. The h3 model prints up to 74 boards per hour and can be upgraded in-situ to the h5 model with a top print speed of 109 boards per hour.    The h series is equipped with a camera-based vision system for sub-pixel alignment, printhead density balance, and step and bi-directional setup, a feature that impressed Baran. "The vision system is a significant feature, which is very important to improve quality and reliability," he said.   The printer series features UltraDrop Technology 7picolitre greyscale printhead imaging and has mechanical crash and wrinkle detection and media height measurement.   The printer - which uses a modular drop-in ink delivery system - has onboard diagnostics will allow Beflex to continuously receive information on the state of the machine, and ‘ImageEdge’ technology allows for fast and easy printhead replacement.
