ISA UK announced at BSGA Awards event

Winners of the 2018 British Sign Awards have been announced at an event in Leicester where the British Sign and graphics Association (BSGA) also officially confirmed a partnership with the US-based International Sign Association (ISA) to form ISA UK.
"While some of the nuances of the UK and US may be different, as we have held conversations, we realise just how many of the same issues we face," said David Catanach, BSGA director, who speaking at the awards event on 8 November, added: "Together we can maximize our strengths and increase the success and growth of our member companies." ISA-UK will allow ISA and the BSGA to work together on common issues such as codes and regulations, research, workforce education and events. Catanach also took the opportunity of the awards presentation to call for signmakers/printers to get involved in a meeting on 15 November to discuss the apprenticeship framework for signmaking. Winners of the British Sign Awards 2018 were: Signbox - Wide-Format Project; Coastline Graphics - Vehicle Wrap; RGVA - Commercial Vehicle Wrap; Matt Vinyl Graphics and Mission Motorsport - Special Achievement Award for Vehicle Wraps; Castleton Signs - Décor; Placemarque -Wayfinding; Astley Signs - Illuminated Sign and Roll-Out Programme; Graffiti Design - Retail Sign; Sovereign Signs - Leisure Sector Sign; Interplan Sign Systems - Sign Construction; Sign of the Times - Innovation and Craftsman Awards; DMA Signs - Product of the Year; Blaze Signs - Architectural Sign and Sign of the Year; Apogee - Small Sign Business; Marc Kisko - Young Signmaker of the Year.
