Agfa has rebranded its inkjet printer portfolio under the banner ‘Powerful by Nature’. The announcement was made at Fespa Global where the company is also giving three new inkjet printers their global debut. 

Soyang Europe has acquired the stock and intellectual property (IP) of specialist textiles supplier Brook International. The agreement will see Brook International’s products integrated into the Soyang Europe portfolio, and distributed from the company’s facility in Altham, Lancashire. Soyang Europe will also take on Brook International’s supply chain.

EFI has specified UFabrik Soft Blackback Textile as a key part of its stand design for Fespa Global 2024. In addition, the EFI Pro 33r UV LED roll printer, being unveiled at Fespa Global, will be using UFabrik UV Blackback and UFabrik Backlit for all its live demonstrations. The materials will also be used for demonstrations on the EFI Q3R roll-to-roll printer on the stand.

swissQprint is using Fespa Global Print Expo 2024 to announce a 36-month parts warranty on all its large-format printers, starting from machine delivery.

Mimaki Europe has announced that its textile pigment transfer printing system, Trapis, previewed at Itma 2023, will be commercially available from Fespa Global.  

PlastGrommet is to launch its Evolve Air&Wedge Welder at Fespa Global, where it will run live demonstrations of the system, which features both hot air and hot wedge, giving users the ability to hem, web tape, pole pocket, hem with cord and banner joining at speeds of up to 20m/min. 

Vanguard Europe has partnered with Grup Transilvae in Romania. The agreement will cover sales, distribution, service, ink supply and ongoing sales support.

Roland DG has launched the VersaObject CO-i series of  flatbed inkjet printers for 3D object applications.

Mimaki’s exclusive distributor for the UK and Ireland, Hybrid Services, has announced a UV print-and-cut solution comprising the JFX600-2531 large-format flatbed UV printer and the CFX-2531 flatbed cutter. They will be demonstrated together for the first time at the Mimaki Experience Centre in Amsterdam during Fespa Global 2024.

SDUK and Printwear and Promotion Live! will return to the NEC on 23-25 February 2025, with SDUK moving to Hall 19 and its sister show to Hall 20. The confirmation comes on the heels of the first co-located events, which saw an increase of over 2,000 visitors to SDUK over the 2023 iteration, with more than 5,500 visitors across the three days. Attendance across the two shows topped 8,000. The first-ever Sunday opening for SDUK saw 2,000 visitors, with many coming across from P+P.
