Print sector research kicks off

Manchester company PrintMediaPartners has started a ‘Global PrintMedia Channel Research Programme’ slated for completion in 2017.

“How can our manufacturers continue to make and provide print products and services which are relevant to the burgeoning communications market; how can distributors/dealers stay relevant to the demands of an ever changing channel and how can the market inform their manufacturers and dealers on the type of products/services and support they need to survive and prosper in the increasingly dynamic world of print communications. These are three of several research problems being examined during this six-year research programme.

“This will be the largest and most comprehensive examination and exploration of the global printmedia channel ever embarked upon,” said PrintMediaPartners chief Danny Moloney.

“The research will provide real core value to every manufacturer, distributor/dealer and print market (print producers, buyers, influencers, specifiers and consumers) as well as help to direct the work of print associations and inform the plans being made by print exhibitions within our industry.”

The research is being carried out with the support of various printing industry manufacturers, distributors/dealers, print trade exhibitions, print trade associations and print media organisations worldwide.
