Sign and Digital UK issue post show survey findings

Sign and Digital UK 2014 attracted 6,115 visitors when it was held at the NEC, Birmingham on 29 April - 1 May this year, an 8% increase on last time.

Zing Insights conducted a show survey on behalf of organiser Faversham House, which received 858 responses. From those responses it extrapolated that 90% of visitors were looking to invest in new equipment at the show or in the following 12 months.

Extrapolated data also showed 86% of visitors were part of their company’s buying process, and that 57% of visitors had not attended another event in this sector for the past two years. Nearly two thirds said that if they could only attend one event a year it would be Sign & Digital UK.

When visitors were asked what they would like to see more of, top of the list were materials and substrates followed by vehicle wrapping.

Rudi Blackett, event director said of the survey findings: “The results of this survey will help us to ensure that the 2015 show continues to be a must-attend event for the sign making, digital solutions and digital printing industries. Visitor feedback is very important to us and we will be implementing new features next year to reflect what the market wants to see – watch this space.”
