Delta makes £3m LFP spend at Fespa 2015

Delta Display has made a £3m spend at Fespa 2015. The investment includes a 5m Durst Rho 512R and two HP Scitex 11000 large-format printers. All three are scheduled for delivery in the summer.

Group operations and production director Martin Shipp said: “On average we spend £2m – £3m a year to stay ahead of technology development and remain competitive.”

The 512R will joint two other Durst machines bought last year – a Rho 312R and Rhotex 322.

“There’s a growing market for fabrics and soft signage in the client base. The 512R will add capacity and give us a broader width capability,” said Shipp, and added that it will likely replace some of the company’s older technology.

The new HPs will partly replace a bank of seven HP FB7600 at Delta “to up productivity and increase efficiency.”
