Sepialine, a US-based print management software company, has finalised an agreement to acquire local software company Technesis, and revealed its intentions to expand its presence in the UK, where it currently has a facility in London’s Docklands.

As part of its plans for expansion in the UK, Sepialine has hired Martin Nash as regional sales director for EMEA. His focus will be on working on expanding Sepialine’s reseller base within the UK and beyond, to help expand its presence in that market.

Sepialine co-founder and CEO Jeremy Evans, said: “We are excited to bring Technesis into the Sepialine family. The leadership of Technesis has shown great insight over the years and we are eager to gain access to their knowledge and innovation.”

With regards to its development plans for the UK market, Evans added: “The appointment of Martin underlines our intention to increase our foothold in the UK and Europe, as we look to expand the business going forward. Martin’s previous experience in developing relationships in the EMEA regions will help Sepialine to achieve our goals.”

As part of the acquisition agreement, Paul Collart, president of Technesis and other members of the Technesis team will join Sepialine, assisting with development of software solutions, inside sales and vendor relationships. The company will continue to operate under the name Sepialine.

Sepialine’s Argos Manager programme provides application and device independent print capture, tracks network and local printers, extracts complete job statistics, providing print, copy, scan and fax facilities and is used for design, graphics, communications, reprographics and FM providers worldwide, including several high profile print companies in the UK.

Customers upgrading from Technesis PCS will see immediate benefits, including expanded manufacturer support, as-printed tracking, secure print release, mobile printing, as well as phone system and 3D printer integration.
