Welpac Pvt takes India’s first MTEX Blue digital textile printer

Indian company Welpac Pvt has bought the country’s first MTEX Blue digital textile printer. "We bought it because we wanted to diversify into soft signage,” said MD Mayoor Kurva, who ordered the kit through Arrow Digital.

He added: “We looked at many printers and considered different options, including going straight to 3.2m, but as 80% of our market is 1.8m or less we chose to start with the MTEX Blue. We conducted extensive trials and sampling at the Arrow demo centre and compared these with other platforms and the MTEX Blue came out on top each time. The inline polymerisation is fantastic.”

Welpac Pvt will be producing display graphics, soft signage and contract interiors. "We see tremendous opportunities with this printer and with Arrow's help in stocking the best fabrics, we will be focused on converting a good majority of our clients to digital textiles; we have already shown samples to some clients and they love the concept and colours. We are proud to be pioneers in India again with digital textile printing," Kurva concluded.
