NoeCha launches a 3.2 x 2m UV flatbed

After five-years of R&D, Italian company NoeCha is launching a 3.2 x 2m UV flatbed digital printer, called NoeCha 1, into the European market.

The machine offers four colours with the possibility to print white (before and after), varnish and spot color (orange, green, violet). Various configurations offer production speeds from 120m2/h up to 600m2/h.

The core of the NoeCha 1 is a printing engine that enables native 600 dpi x 600 dpi image quality with up to four grayscale levels (visually 1,200 dpi) by controlling drop size. The 2,656 nozzles per printhead are each arranged in 0.042 mm pitch to eject 30,000 drops per second, printing 600 dpi x 600 dpi in single-pass applications at up to 50m per minute with a total of 80 million drops per second.

The manufacturer says each printhead is composed of internal filters to eliminate foreign objects, internal heaters to adjust the impact of exterior temperature, and an ink-channel design to provide stable ink supply to all 2,656 nozzles.

Founded in December 2010 by Marco Baio, NoeCha acquired the intellectual property of Magenta-Vision concerning the development of a wide-format flatbed inkjet printer in 2011.

The NoeCha 1 is the first commercial product to be developed from the deal. It will first be marketed in Europe, and then in Asia and America.
