INX Digital is preparing to launch a series of wide-format UV printers at Fespa Digital that use the new Xaar 1002 printhead, a family of greyscale heads available in a choice of picolitre drop sizes.
“The new Xaar 1002 family of printheads is attracting the interest of many printer manufacturers – particularly those wanting to offer the ability to print high-opacity and high-viscosity inks and fluids – alongside traditional CMYK. In the wide-format graphics industry specifically, AEG and INX Digital are the first printer manufacturers to launch Xaar 1002 enabled printers. The AEG series of Voyager Pro combination flatbed and roll-fed UV-curable printers - launched earlier this month - are available in a range of width and colour configurations, and provide the ability to print white and metallic ink.
