INX prepares for UV printer launch

INX Digital is preparing to launch a series of wide-format UV printers at Fespa Digital that use the new Xaar 1002 printhead, a family of greyscale heads available in a choice of picolitre drop sizes.

“The new Xaar 1002 family of printheads is attracting the interest of many printer manufacturers – particularly those wanting to offer the ability to print high-opacity and high-viscosity inks and fluids – alongside traditional CMYK. The power of the Xaar 1002 to deliver the ultimate in quality, productivity and reliability, coupled with the flexibility to choose the best model for a specific application, makes it the perfect choice for the next generation of scanning and single-pass printers,” said Xaar director of marketing, Mark Alexander, ahead of the show.

In the wide-format graphics industry specifically, AEG and INX Digital are the first printer manufacturers to launch Xaar 1002 enabled printers. The AEG series of Voyager Pro combination flatbed and roll-fed UV-curable printers - launched earlier this month -  are available in a range of width and colour configurations, and provide the ability to print white and metallic ink.
