Brooklyn Graphics instrumental to Kasabian’s Glastonbury look

Falkirk-based Brooklyn Graphics has been instrumental to the look of the Kasabian set at this year’s Glastonbury music festival. The company has printed a bass drum skin for the indie-rock group as Darren Brooks, proprietor of Brooklyn Graphics explains: “I’ve been involved in the local music scene for years and through a contact in the percussion business, we were given the opportunity to show what we could do.”

The simple but vivid pink drum skin design relates to the title of the band’s new album ‘48:13’ which is understood to be the total running time of all the tracks on it.

Brooks said attaining the specific pink required was not a problem: “We had recently upgraded to a new Mimaki CJV30-160 which is a fantastic machine delivering amazing resolution print with vibrant colours, faithful to the original design thanks to the SS21 inkset. The result was achieved using Metamark MD5 self-adhesive vinyl and passed intense scrutiny by the band at the very first attempt”.
