Printeriors room sets update

Visitors to the inaugural Printeriors showcase in Hall 9 at Fespa 2015 this week, will see room sets reflecting either retail, corporate, residential and hospitality settings to illustrate the creativity of print for interior applications.

The content of each room set is as follows:

Retail:

- ATC Groupe’s room set will use reboard to recreate a retail environment.

- Lite will use a frameless system to recreate a new concept for retail using custom colours and graphics.

- Retail Communicators’ room set will combine digital print with light to produce a dynamic retail environment.

Corporate:

  • David Barlett Designs will use cardboard with a light and sound interactive dome.
  • Saati’s corporate setting will use screenprinting to replicate an aircraft cockpit.

Hospitality:

  • Hexis’ design reflects a coffee corner using printed laminates for walls and flooring.
  • Mutoh is replicating a gin bar using printed interior decoration possibilities printed on its digital wide-format ValueJet printers.

Residential:

  • HP’s room set will use its latex technology to recreate a residential setting designed by Robin Sprong and Juan De Lascurain.
  • Kornit Digital will use its Kornit Allegro to print textiles and furniture.
  • Pongs will decorate its room set in the style of a lounge highlighting the possibilities of using high resolution digital fabric printing.
  • Sihl will feature inkjet printed wallpapers, cushion covers and curtains.

A one-day focused Printeriors conference will also take place on Thursday 21 May, led by English fashion and interior designer Wayne Hemingway.

Fespa has also announced the finalists for its ‘Design a tee’ competition, with the five shortlisted entries being showcased on Stand E65, Hall 8. The overall winner will be announced on Friday 22 May.

The competition invited people to submit a t-shirt design which incorporated the Fespa Fabric logo, as well as other galactic elements to remind visitors to ‘Launch into a Universe of Garment Decoration and Textile Print’.

The Fespa team, along with competition sponsor Gavin Drake, director of GarmentPrinting.co.uk, shortlisted the entrants who are Nadine Counsell, Daniela Asael, Maximilian Waid, James Simonsen and Dave Parkes.

The first place winner will receive 25 t-shirts with their winning design, digitally printed by GarmentPrinting.co.uk, plus 100 Euro worth of Amazon vouchers. The second and third place entries will receive ten and five t-shirts respectively of their own design.
