Roland brings out cheaper and better Eco-Sol Max 3

Roland has launched Eco-Sol Max 3 inks for use with its eco-solvent printers and printer/cutters. The new ink has been developed to deliver faster drying times and better overall performance levels. Available in 220cc and 500cc cartridges, they also come at a lower price per cc of ink said the company.

Eco-Sol Max 3 has Greenguard Gold Certification, which includes safety factors that ensure a product is acceptable for use in environments like schools and hospitals.

The inks are available now to those in England, Scotland and Wales buying a new eco-solvent Roland DG printer. They will be available to those doing likewise in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland from January.

Eco-Sol Max 3 will also be made available to existing customers as a performance upgrade in a staged roll-out, starting with the VersaStudio BN-20 and VersaCamm VS-I, followed by the VersaCamm SP-i series, Soljet Pro4 series (XR-640 and XF-640) and the VersaExpress RF-640.

Roland said that the process of converting an existing printer to the new ink is so quick and easy that, with the online guidance provided, many users will be able manage the process inhouse.

Roland has also announced the European launch of its Roland Profile Center (www.rolandprofilecenter.eu), a free online service for PSPs to access media profiles for the company’s eco-solvent printers and printer/cutters.

Initially PSPs will be able to download profiles for the new Eco-Sol Max 3 ink. In the future, the service will extend to offer profiles across the full range of Roland inks from major media manufacturers and Rip software producers.

“As well as offering an impressive new service to our users, the Profile Center now enables even closer collaboration between Roland DG and leading RIP software and media manufacturers,” said Jerry Davies, president, Roland DG, EMEA.
