Roland brings out heavyweight LEJ-640FT flatbed

New to the Roland DG VersaUV stable of flatbed printers is the six-colour LEJ-640FT, which can handle media/objects up to 152mm in depth and up to 100kg in weight. The machine has a 1606mm x 2490mm (63.25 x 98in) print area and can run at up to 12m2/hr. Print resolution is up to 1440 x 1440dpi.

The LEJ-640FT uses a UV LED curing system and can run Eco-UV ink in CMYK plus white and clear, or Eco-UV S inks in CMYK and white only.R - LEJ-640FT Image

The printer incorporates a quadruple zone vacuum technology, Roland Intelligent Pass Control, and comes with VersaWorks Rip software.

Meanwhile, Roland DG has announced it will be joined on its stand at Sign and Digital UK next week by several customers/printer users who will share their experiences of working with Roland technology. These include James Cameron, CEO of Mission Motorsport; Joe McNamara, visual branding manager of Renault Sport Formula One Team; and ‘Big Pete’ Colman, owner of Classic Print.
