OKI invites creatives to enter its ‘Print My Ride’ wrap competition

OKI has supplied a new livery for Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship driver Mat Jackson’s car, printed on the new OKI Colour Painter wide-format printer. The wrap covers the entire car - a first in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championships. Jackson’s car sported the custom-made wrap over the weekend at Silverstone and can be seen again at the Brands Hatch GP 1 – 2 October.

To coincide with this, OKI is kicking off a ‘Print My Ride’ competition at upcoming The Print Show. Creatives are being invited to design a car wrap fit for the racetrack. Entrants will be able to upload their artwork to the Print My Ride website (www.okiprintmyride.com) and apply it to a virtual car – rotating a 3D view to experience it from all angles before submitting online showroom photos to be judged by an expert panel.

Winners will be chosen from six categories: ‘Overall design winner’, ‘Best overall visual design based on use of colour and style’, ‘Best use of the OKI Colorpainter’s capabilities based on technical application’, ‘Best professional creative design’, ‘Best design from an educational establishment’, and ‘Wild card’, which will be given to the wrap that garners the most attention on social media.

Prizes include a 1:18 scale-model car wrapped in the entrant’s artwork and an all-expenses-paid VIP trip for two to a Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship event. The ‘Overall design winner’ will also receive a 50% discount voucher, redeemable on an OKI hardware product of their choice.

The Print My Ride competition closes on 31 March 2017.
