Kyocera makes UV-LED breakthrough

Kyocera has developed an air-cooled UV-LED curing light that it claims is the most powerful and smallest available. The new Kyocera G5A Series is for use in UV ink printing applications as well as for UV-cured coating and adhesive processes.
This proprietary technology is said to deliver the highest UV intensity (24W/cm2) among air-cooled curing lights for UV printing. The G5A incorporates Kyocera’s ceramic substrate in a heat-radiating modular design, which allows LED elements to be mounted at a high density. Its scalable structure allows users to adjust irradiation width to suit a wide range of applications and printing media.
