The British Coatings Federation has marked 25 years since it was formed through the joining of the Society of British Printing Ink Manufacturers and the Paintmakers Association on 4 July 1993. The celebration coincided with the recent opening of the BCF’s new home in in Spectra House, Coventry. A commemorative plaque was unveiled during celebrations at a BCF printing ink technical committee meeting, attended by over 20 printing ink members.
CEO of the BCF Tom Bowtell said: “Printing inks are a very important sector to the BCF, making up over 20% of the membership. We continue to campaign on key issues for printing ink members such as achieving a positive Brexit outcome for industry and promoting best practice when using printing inks, especially when related to food packaging.”
