EFI Nozomi C18000 goes to Carmel Frenk

Israeli corrugated display and packaging company Carmel Frenkel (a subsidiary of Hadera Paper) has bought a 1.8m wide EFI Nozomi C18000 single-pass, high-speed LED inkjet printer for corrugated media. The Caesarea-based printer will be one of the first in the world to have the complete EFI ecosystem for corrugated production with the Nozomi printer, EFI Fiery NZ-1000 DFE, the EFO Corrugated Packaging Suite EFI Escada corrugator control software.
"We are committed to staying on the leading edge of packaging technology," said Guy Frenkel, CEO of Carmel Frenkel. "We have invested considerable time and effort in evaluating the most-advanced digital corrugated technologies and, with this press, we know we will be able to handle a variety of print jobs with faster throughput and high output quality." Scheduled for installation in the fourth quarter of this year, the Nozomi press operates at speeds up to 75 linear metres per minute, or up to 10,000 89 x 89cm (35 x 35in) boards per hour, two-up. It comes equipped with the EFI Fiery NZ-1000 DFE print server and production system. The Corrugated Packaging Suite MES workflow that Carmel Frenkel is also installing facilitates plant-wide management and integration of digital production for an end-to-end business and production framework to handle the company's digital, analogue flexo, litho-lam and litho label operations.
