The features programme for Fespa Eurasia 2018 (6 - 9 December, Istanbul Expo Centre, Turkey) has been confirmed. Visitors will be able to experience, for the first time in the region, Print Make Wear Istanbul as well as returning features, the World Wrap Masters Eurasia and signage demo workshop.

The Association for Print Technologies (APTech) has named the winners of its inaugural Red Hot Technology Vanguard Awards. Nine awards have been given - five Breakthrough Awards, two Collaboration Awards and two and Pioneer Awards.

The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) has bought the Graphics of the Americas (GOA) printing trade show from the Florida Graphics Alliance (FGA). The event will relaunch in February 2020 in Miami Beach, Florida.

SGIA Expo visitors will be able to see MS Printing’s Impres digital soft signage printing system running Dybrid, dye-sublimation ink developed by JK Group for MS Printing. The printer will be driven by Caldera Rip software.

Senfa will launch a new version of its eco-friendly Alterra printable textile media and a new range of Decomind-branded interior decor substrates at SGIA Expo in the US, 18 - 20 October.

Drytac will use the SGIA Expo in Las Vegas (18 - 20 October) to introduce ArmourPrint Emerytex and ArmourGrab. This dual-product has an FDA incidental food contact rating and a low slip rating, making it useful for advertising applications in retail and food sectors.

Inca Digital CEO John Mills is stepping down in early October to set up a specialist business consultancy. He is being replaced by current deputy CEO Akira Hayakawa (pictured) as interim CEO. He will be supported by Inca Digital COO, Matthew Negus, and the incumbent Inca Digital management team.

SAi has taken a landmark order from Rocken Graphics in the US for its software-by-subscription Flexi product. It’s the 10,000th order for the service - introduced four years ago - that enables users to access Rip software via monthly subscription and cloud-based downloads.

Carol Swift has officially taken over from industry stalwart Peter Kiddell as director of Fespa UK Association. Kiddell retired from the role at the end of August.

Canon Europe is today (25 September) hosting an event for those in publishing, direct marketing, corporate and commercial print, as well as brand communication and display graphics to showcase the possibilities of promotional print within brand campaigns.

Onyx Graphics will debut its Onyx 18.5 software at the SGIA Expo 2018 next month (18 - 20 October, Las Vegas). The company claims a first for the wide-format print industry with the release - the first Rip solution with the Adobe PDF Print Engine 5 (APPE 5).

Aleph will use SGIA Expo and Viscom Milan to show its LaForte printing technology. The focus will be on the large-format sublimation printer, the LaForte 200, with a print light of up to 340cm, and on the LaForte 400 Blue Back for the signage world with new graphic pigment inks.
