Manchester-based plastic products designer and manufacturer Plastic Formers has bought the UK’s first EFI H1625 SuperDraw wide-format printer, with technical director Daniel Jepson calling it “the Holy Grail with its white ink, instant cure and laser proofs.”

Fespa has created a head of technical support post to which it has appointed Graeme Richardson-Locke. He will provide technical expertise on all matters relating to screen and digital printing on behalf of Fespa and its stakeholders. This will include managing and developing technical content in the form of workshops, guidance documents and research to support Fespa and its national associations and their members.

The UK’s small business community is still worryingly unprepared for new data protection regulations, according to new research from the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB). The research, published today, shows that a third (33%) of small businesses have not started preparing for the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) while a further 35% are only in the early stages of preparations. Only 8% of small businesses have completed their preparations.

Signbox has provided internal wayfinding and external illuminated signage for the five-storey Charter Building in London – the former UK headquarters of Coca-Cola, which has been remodeled by developer Landid Property Holdings. Kernow Coatings is now selling KernowPrint MetaliK Gold, Silver and Rose Gold in B2 (500 x 707mm size) sheets as standard - up to 707 x 1000mm on request - to meet growing interest in packaging from the large-format sector. The medium is printable with UV-curing inks.
