CMYUK has a new senior digital sales consultant in the form of Wesley Small. He will be responsible for boosting sales across the company’s digital printing equipment portfolio, with a special focus on EFI Vutek solutions. His previous role was at EFI where he was Vutek inkjet sales development manager for UK North, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

DEP has appointed Ian Turnbull to drive sales of its Synplas range of printable materials, and for its bespoke contract coating business. Coinciding with this move, the company has launched a new website at www.depltd.co.uk, which provides detailed information on the above products.

A second Zund cutting table has been installed at Hull-based RMC Digital Print to ease a finishing bottleneck that developed following the installation of a Durst printer in January. The new Zund is a G3 XL3200, which sits alongside a G3 3XL1600.

GIS - which has moved to new headquarters within St John’s Innovation Park in Cambridge, doubling capacity to 930m2 - said it will launch a family of products on a new high-speed, lower cost platform later this year.

Antalis has taken delivery of its first batch of vehicles in a £5m, seven-year deal to overhaul its 160-strong fleet. The 81 new vehicles - all with new livery - are designed to lower CO2 emissions and raise safety standards as well as improve driver comfort.

Walki Group, a producer of technical laminates and protective packaging materials has introduced the WalkiPrint Media XXL range of ‘green’ printing and imaging solutions for front-lit and back-lit applications. It said the move comes “at a time when the OOH sector is steadily moving away from using chemically treated, moisture-resistant blueback papers and PVC-scrim for printed banners and displays. Growing awareness of the hazards that PVC poses to the environment and in particular, the difficulties faced in its disposal, has created a need for more eco-friendly products.”
