Fespa UK Association is to run a textile print conference on 21 November in Huddersfield. Supported by Fespa’s Profit-for-Purpose programme, it will examine textile printing, coating and surface modification techniques - both analogue and digital - and introduce business-improving initiatives.

The stairwell of London’s Roundhouse venue has been given a makeover for a charity event in aid of the Ubuntu Education Fund. Eye-catching wall graphics printed and installed by Oasis Graphic formed part of an event-branding package from Fisher Productions.

Canon Europe has extended its Young People Programme by offering interactive workshops to students in which they will be encouraged to take photos or videos of subjects that relate to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and express their views on the need for change. The first event took place in Cologne last week and will be followed by workshops in the UK, Finland and Poland in 2017, and in other locations throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa in the future.

Signs Express (Sheffield) has donated its time and expertise to supply and install out of this world car graphics for Barnsley-based Flexseal, which today embarks on a charity adventure for the Keyline Rally, a 1980’s themed car rally across Europe. The rally supports the Prostate Cancer UK (PCUK).

DPI (UK) has completed the installation of super-sized display panels at refurbished AX Supercars’ showroom at Donington Park. Five 2 x 1m images have been printed on fabrics with a silicone edge so they can be quickly pushed into frames and replaced with new graphics as required.

Online print giant Pixartprinting intends to grow its textile print capability, and has launched a series of tension fabric frame systems and natural fabrics printed with reactive dyes, which can be ordered in lengths of as little as 1m.

To support its growing European business Kernow Coatings has created a new operating company called Kernow Coatings Europe. It is based in a new, purpose-built distribution centre in Gent, Belgium, where there is also a dedicated sales office and customer service team.
